Hmm. The way it normally works is that when a card enters the field, you get a single serial-number response, and nothing else unless the card exits the field and returns. I think you’re on the right track in power-cycling the reader or using the reset line, but unfortunately the reset line is tied high on the board. With some fine surgery you may be able to hack it out and connect it to e.g. the DTR output of the FTDI chip to allow you to control it from the host computer; sorry in advance if this isn’t practical. You could of course play with this using the barebones parts in the kit as well. Good luck and let us know what you find!
